During my childhood, we had a Phoenix-headed Parakeet as a pet at home. It was a gift from my father’s friend. This parakeet always carried an air of self-importance and had a somewhat aloof personality, resembling that of a proud and independent scholar. As time passes by, I can’t help but feel nostalgic and start to miss it.
